I don't know what mine/our/yours plans are yet for Thanksgiving but my money is down on a heritage breed from my favorite meat farmers- Jordandal Farm.
Yum! That reminds me Tab I've got apple cider in the fridge and a bottle of Jameson- hmmm yum! Brandy might be better but Jameson does cut the sweetness. I'm going to have to acquire a cold between now and the pm hours so I can earn a hot toddy.
Yep - we should plan. When do you plan on being here? A heritage turkey sounds lovely. I vote for rosting it in the calphalon roasting pan - it makes the best gravy.
ReplyDeleteJameson would be an OK substitute for brandy in cider. I feel goofy heating up my unpasturized cidar - kinda defeats the point. We could do a taste test of Madison's best verus St. Paul's best cider. Bob's Bluebird Orchard will still be at the Farmers Market in late November - they have the best!
toddy sound fun,
ReplyDeleteHey Sarah, do you remember that play at Proctor with the ladies who liked cordial? "the joy of cordial!" that play was great!
